Elderly community members receiving care and support

Endeleza Wazee Kigoma

Every Elder Deserves
Dignity & Care

We uplift the lives of elderly citizens across the Kigoma region through compassionate support, safe shelter, and a community that truly cares.

About Us

EWAKI was founded on a simple belief: no elder should face life's later years alone. Like the hand that supports the home in our logo, we lift up those who built our communities.

Who We Are

EWAKI stands for Endeleza Wazee Kigoma, a Swahili phrase meaning Empower the Elderly at Kigoma Region.

We are a Tanzanian NGO dedicated to educating and sensitizing communities to accept and care for the elderly.

This critical mission not only elevates an underserved population, but ensures the continuity of culture and education by reconnecting younger volunteers and community members with those elders who have valuable stories, insights, and lessons to share.

Our Impact

Through the dedication of our volunteers and the generosity of our supporters, we are making a measurable difference in the lives of elders across Kigoma.
