Recreation / Location Hubs

We help build, locate, and create recreation centers in every council in the Kigoma region. These become centralized hubs of activity where community events, celebrations, and more can be held. Instead of the elderly being pushed to the background, they are elevated right into the middle of a critical community service that integrates intergenerational relationship building. This is the heart of our efforts because it changes the manner by which the elderly are treated as they become more visible to everyone else living in the area.
